Information about Lars Windhorst
Lars Windhorst was born on 2nd November 1976 in Rahden, Germany and started his whirlwind career in the beginning of the1990s when he was 16 years old. The boyish businessperson established two corporations, Windhorst AG and Windhorst Electronics GmbH and, which operated in the area of retail and electronics among others.
Background
In 1995, when Lars Windhorst was only 19, he moved his assets and relocated them to Hong Kong so that he could inaugurate Windhorst Asia Pacific Holdings. He opened offices in Vietnam and China and the company focus was in finance electronics and real estate. A year later, Lars Windhorst became a part of The World Economic Forum and the earliest entry ever to the Global Leaders of Tomorrow
With the change in the economic climate, came new possibilities for Lars Windhorst and he faced these challenges head on. . Windhorst AG shifted its focal point to high finance but ultimately he realized that he would need to re-evaluate the market place and re-direct his business assets to accommodate the changing demands of the times.
Valuable Experience
In an interview with Sueddeutsche magazine, Lars Windhorst related how he learned from earlier business mistakes and is well positioned to continue his entrepreneurial activities for at least a few more decades. Referring to himself as a “visionary pioneer”, he said he looks forward to turning his positive business relationships into profitable partnerships. After all, being a successful entrepreneur mixing with international leaders and high-dollar businessmen is what he's wanted since he was a young boy back in Rahden, Germany. He learned that in order to succeed in business, it's vital to be surrounded by professionals who will be there to advise and support so that he can focus on business.
The "Wunderkind"
Windhorst became known as the "Wunderkind" of his day and has consistently been compared to Bill Gates of Microsoft fame in the States. Thanks to uninterrupted bargaining with producers in the Far East, Windhorst was able to sell his hardware at a solid margin and still charge less than the competition. Soon German press and dignitaries hailed him as the up-and-coming entrepreneur and whizz kid. If proof were needed of Lars Windhorst standing, it was clearly indicated by the fact that he was invited to escort ex-Chancellor Helmut Kohl on official trips to many parts of the world including Asia–a unique experience for any teenager.
He has certainly proved himself to be one of a kind no more so than when he founded Windhorst Holding, a launching to business ventures such as Windhorst Advertising and Windhorst Oil.
Sapinda International and Sapinda Deutschland GmbH
In late 2006, Lars Windhorst represented Sapinda International based in the United Kingdom and was Managing Director of Vatas Holding GmbH.
In early 2009, Lars Windhorst was named the Chief Operating Officer of Sapinda Deutschland GmbH, a privately held investment company that invests world wide in private equity, public equity and debt.
Personal Life
In December 2007, shortly after Christmas Lars Windhorst was severely injured in Kazakhstan in an airplane accident. Other members of the crew were hurt as well in the incident and according to the hospital report, Windhorst was lucky to escape with minor burns and injuries across his body
